Hi everyone, I had to do this experiment in bio where I had three samples of seawater (30mL each), evaporate the water to find out how much salt was leftover and had to determine which of them came from: 1) 5 miles off the coast of California 2) inside the San Francisco Bay 3) in the Delta, near Stockton. So I found out that sample A had 1,35g of salt, sample B 3,59g, and sample C 0,25g. Now, I know that sample B is from off the coast because our teacher told us that the one with the highest amount of salt will be from off the coast, and I also know that sample C is from the Delta, near Stockton as well because our teacher told us that, too. This leaves me with A, which means that it has to be from inside the Bay. The thing is, I have to explain how I know where they come from, and I have no idea how to logically explain that because our teacher told us the answers for the most part.
